Today Caroline and I took advantage of the last clear day for a long time and enjoyed riding for a little while. :o) Gracie can go so fast it is breathtaking to ride! I love riding her as she has so much energy and power to her steps. Bubba on the other hand.... :o)
Nothing in this video is fast forwarded. :o) Now imagine yourself riding at that speed! It is SO MUCH FUN!!!
Don't worry, no bones were broken in the making of this video :o) (Meemom, you can relax now!)
That is amazing!!! :-) I've always wanted to ride a horse like that! Maybe one day after I get done with college God will allow me to look into buying another horse. But , for right now I am loving the fastest pace Aspen can go..... the walk.... make that a slow walk... lol. Though he does have the power to go! Only his bad leg won't let him. ;-) P.S she would make a good endurance race horse! lol :-)
Awww, I hadn't heard Aspen's leg had gotten worse. :o( You're right though, you certainly don't have to be going fast to enjoy your horse. :o) Caroline and I weren't allowed to ride our horses for several weeks after we got them, then I didn't want to canter for MONTHS. I still had a blast riding and working with her on the ground though!
Riding that fast is a ton of fun, but I would never ride that fast without having a trustworthy horse. :o)

I would love to try horseback riding like that at some point. :)
ReplyDeleteLast time I rode a horse was in Canada, at age 5.
