Hi, your local Mossyrock weatherman here. Be advised that there may be snow in the near future! Finally!!! Whenever there is a possibility of snow, I start following all the forecasts very closely, Mainly the big three: NOAA, NWS, and Accuweather.
Timing: Wet snow flurries fell here this morning, and may continue to fall the rest of today. A heavy storm system Sunday will turn the precipitation into rain all throughout Monday . . . But then it gets interesting. Snow could fall here from Monday night through Wednesday. It is uncertain yet how much, or if, the snow will accumulate. Come on snow!
Day Temps. Day Night
TWC
Mon. 42-33 rain rain/snow showers
Tues. 39-33 Rn/Sw Shrs. snow showers
Wed. 40-37 showers showers
NOAA
Mon. 42-31 Rain/Snow Rain/Snow
Tues. 35-33 Snow Snow
Wed. 38-38 Snow Rain
Accu
Mon. 39-26 Rain Sw. Shower
Tues. 35-25 Showers Snow
Wed. 38-33 Ice/Rain showers
In my opinion NOAA is the most accurate forecaster. TWC is the most conservative, and Accuweather is almost crazily the opposite (as you can see by their forecasted lows). Surprisingly, though, NOAA has the best (or worst, if you are a crazy person like Richie) forecast for snow right now.
It is so exciting when it snows!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have some out here too!!! I can't wait to go ride Aspen and our new mule patty in it!!! :-)
