Psalm 111~By Kyle

The Psalm:

Psalm 111
Praise the Lord!
I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart,
In the company of the upright and in the assembly.
2 Great are the works of the Lord;
They are studied by all who delight in them.
3 Splendid and majestic is His work,
And His righteousness endures forever.
4 He has made His wonders to be remembered;
The Lord is gracious and compassionate.
5 He has given food to those who fear Him;
He will remember His covenant forever.
6 He has made known to His people the power of His works,
In giving them the heritage of the nations.
7 The works of His hands are truth and justice;
All His precepts are sure.
8 They are upheld forever and ever;
They are performed in truth and uprightness.
9 He has sent redemption to His people;
He has ordained His covenant forever;
Holy and awesome is His name.
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
A good understanding have all those who do His commandments;
His praise endures forever.

My Poem:

Praise the Lord!

I will give thanks with all my heart
To my God, my Lord thou art
I will praise your great might
In the assembly of the upright

We will study your works, day and night
Your splendor and majesty, our delight
Your righteousness will endure always
Your wonders remembered all our days

Gracious and compassionate, Lord you are
Your hand that provides will never be far
You will give food to us, for we fear you
You remember your covenant, this is true

The power of your works is made known
By giving the heritage of nations to your own
Truth and justice in your hand is pure
Your precepts forever and ever sure

His redemption to His people proclaimed
His covenant, never ending, ordained
Holy and awesome is always the name
Of the King Of Kings, one and the same

Fear the Lord, and in you wisdom starts
Keep His commandments, misunderstanding parts
We will stop praising God never
And His praise will endure forever!

Not necessarily elegant, but I did my best! For those of you out there who think it is too hard, look at my poem! You don't have to rhyme big fancy words! And also, the Psalm you choose to make a poem out of does not need to be only a thankful song to God, for praise is also essential to give to Him!
